Surbiton’s Robyn Collins has been selected to play for Scotland Women against France this weekend.

The three test series takes place at the Glasgow National Hockey Centre on Friday (28 July), Saturday (29 July) and Sunday (30 July).

Collins was previously selected to play in a three test series against Russia before the matches were reclassified as non-capped games.

The series is part of Scotland’s preparations for the Rabo EuroHockey Championships in Amsterdam from 18-27 August. Scotland will play England, Germany and Ireland in Pool B with the aim of at least maintaining their status in the top tier of European international hockey.

Scotland Women’s Head Coach, Gordon Shepherd said, “All the players in the squad have continued to progress since our return from the World League Semi-Final in Brussels. The coaches have found making selection down to 18 extremely difficult at this point, which was what was originally planned and we will now use the games against France this weekend to finalise the 18 for the European Nations in Amsterdam in August.
