Surbiton’s Robyn Collins won her 50th cap for Scotland in the first of a three match series with Celtic rivals Ireland in Glasgow on 31 May, but in spite of playing in all three games, Ireland won the series 3-0.
The first game was closest, Ireland winning 1-0, but Scotland lost the last two tests both by four goal margins, going down 6-2 on 2 June and 5-1 the following day.
Ireland are ranked 16th in the current world rankings, just two places above Scotland, but the gulf was wider during the series.
Scotland next face Italy, again in a three match series starting on 12 June and concluding on 14 and 15 June, again in Glasgow.
