Surbiton Ladies travel to Holcombe on Saturday for a key Investec Women’s Hockey League Premier Division match.

The match is being played at Curtis Way, Chatham, Rochester and according to the Holcombe HC website, it is suggested that the postcode ME1 2XQ is used for SatNav.

Holcombe, along with East Grinstead are six points behind Surbiton and have had mixed fortunes over the last two weeks, losing 2-1 at Slough and winning 5-1 at the University of Birmingham.

Holcombe began the season with a 2-0 home win over Bowdon Hightown before drawing 1-1 at home to Buckingham. a 3-1 win at Clifton Robinsons was followed by a 2-1 home win over Kent rivals Canterbury. A 2-1 defeat at home to East Grinstead preceded the loss at Slough.

Sofia Viarengo Cervino, Steph Elliott and Leah Wilkinson have all scored twice with the other nine goals shared between nine different players, showing that Holcombe are not short of potential goalscorers.

Both teams will be missing players with Holcombe’s Sarah Jones part of the GB Women’s team in China to part in the last ever Women’s Champions Trophy.

The teams met three times last season with Surbiton winning 3-1 at Lee Valley to lift their fifth league title

The regular season matchups saw Holcombe win 2-1 at Sugden Road and Surbiton win 3-1 at Holcombe Park

Elsewhere, East Grinstead make the long trip to Bowdon Hightown; Beeston travel to Canterbury; Buckingham are at home to Slough and Clifton Robinsons host the University of Birmingham.
