Surbiton Ladies are at home to Slough in their final home Investec Women’s Hockey League game of the season on Saturday, push back 1 pm.
Surbiton have already qualified for the end of season playoffs but still have a first place finish in their sights with just two games to go, trailing leaders Holcombe by just one point.
Slough are battling with the University of Birmingham to avoid the Promotion Tournament and drew level with the Midlands students last weekend when they drew 0-0 at home to Beeston after beating Clifton Robinsons 2-0 at home the week before.

Slough were bottom of the table for the first four games of the season, losing 2-1 at the University of Birmingham, drawing 1-1 at Canterbury and losing 3-0 at home to East Grinstead.
A 1-1 draw at Clifton Robinsons lifted them into ninth place before a 2-1 home win over Holcombe sent them up to seventh for one week. A 1-1 draw at Beeston dropped them down to eighth where they stayed after a 1-0 defeat at Buckingham and a 2-2 draw at home to Bowdon Hightown.
Slough have been ninth since 24 November when they lost 1-0 at East Grinstead. 2019 began with a 1-1 draw at home to Canterbury and a heavy 4-1 loss at Bowdon Hightown before what could be a vital 2-2 home draw with Birmingham.
Another 4-1 defeat at Holcombe was followed by the much needed win at home to Clifton Robinsons and the draw with Beeston which has seen the Slough defence keep two clean sheets in succession.
Melissa Ball and Emma O’Nien are Slough’s joint leading goalscorers with four goals apiece. Kitty Baccanello has scored three goals with Philipa Newton scoring twice and Laura Bailey and Lizzy Totten scoring once each.
Elsewhere, Holcombe are at home to Clifton Robinsons; East Grinstead host Bowdon Hightown; Buckingham entertain the University of Birmingham and Canterbury, who need to win both their games to have any chance of avoiding automatic relegation, visit Beeston.
