Surbiton Ladies continue their Jaffa Super Sixes Division One campaign this weekend with the action having switched from Bristol to Nottingham Trent University.
After the first weekend, the top four teams have opened up a gap over the rest of the division with the top two teams at the end of the competition winning promotion to the Premier Division for the 2019-20 season.
Sutton Coldfield, relegated from the top flight last season are in pole position to make a quick return after winning their first four games. Harleston Magpies and Surbiton are two points behind in second and third respectively with Harleston having a seven goal superior goal difference.
Sevenoaks are also in the mix, three points off the lead, with four of the five remaining teams on three points and Gloucester City unlucky to be bottom with no points having lost three of their four games by a one goal margin.
Surbiton start their second weekend at 12.30 on Saturday when they play a Reading team relegated last season but struggling after winning their opening match 5-2 against Gloucester.
At 4.30 pm, Surbiton are likely to face their toughest test when it’s their turn to face leaders Sutton Coldfield.
On Sunday, Surbiton have an early start at 9 am against the University of Birmingham, another team to struggle on the first weekend, their sole win coming in a 5-1 victory over Reading.
Surbiton also have an early finish as their final game of the weekend follows at 12 noon against Gloucester City.
