With the main Surbiton Ladies squad taking part in the Torneo de Reyes in Barcelona as part of their preparation for the EuroHockey Club Cup in May, Surbiton are fielding a youth oriented squad for the first weekend of the Jaffa Super 6s Championships Division One in Bristol.

Surbiton’s squad will be captained by Natalie Maclean, who has plenty of indoor hockey experience.

Surbiton start against St. Albans at 11.30 on Saturday morning, and then take on Beeston, newly promoted from Division Two after resurrecting their indoor team at 1630.

On Sunday, Surbiton face Buckingham, aiming for a quick return to the top flight after being relegated alongside the University of Birmingham last season, at 1100, followed by a matchup with Chelmsford at 1600.

Surbiton will travel to the East Midlands to Nottingham Trent University next weekend where they will meet Harleston Magpies, who saved themselves from relegation with a last gasp victory over Surbiton in Bristol last season; Brooklands Poynton; Sevenoaks and the University of Birmingham.

Supporters heading for Bristol need to go to the University of the West of England, Frenchay Campus, Coldharbour Lane, Bristol BS16 1QY.

The Surbiton website will also be updated over the weekend, as soon as possible after each match.
