It’s Family Day at Surbiton Hockey Club on 2 September.
Opro and Tacklebag will both be at the club from 9.30 am to 12 noon.
The teahut will also be open all morning.
In the Clubhouse, umpire Ian Wyatt will be giving a talk to Colts and their parents at 11 am about the rules of hockey, ideal for anybody new to hockey.
A BBQ starts at 12 noon and then Holly from Aspire USA will be talking to Colts and parents at 1 pm about Sport and Academic Scholarships to US Colleges
At 2 pm Jehan from JY Physiotherapy will be giving a talk about physiotherapy – injury prevention; plus warm up and cool down drills.
But it’s not all about talk, mouthguards and kit, there will be fun activities as well!
In the Pitch Fun area, you can “slip and slide” and “beat the goalie” or you can try to win a stick in the Hardest Hit competition, whilst there will also be hockey sessions available.
You can visit various stands including Vanilla Bean and Back to Hockey as well as stands for Aspire USA and JY Physiotherapy
So it will all be happening at Sugden Road on 2 September.
