Great Britain women lost the first of their five test match series 2-1 in Rosario on Saturday evening.

Susannah Townsend gave Great Britain the lead after just two minutes, Great Britain leading 1-0 at half time.

Maria Pilar Campoy equalised seven minutes after half time with Eugenia Trinchinetti scoring the winning goal from a penalty corner with just three minutes to play.

Surbiton’s Hannah Martin, Jo Hunter and Emily Defroand all made their Great Britain debuts.

Sarah Haycroft, Giselle Ansley and Hollie Pearne-Webb were all in the GB starting line-up with Defroand coming on as a fifth minute substitute and both Hunter and Martin following a minute later.
