Great Britain Under-21 Men followed up their opening 1-0 victory over Malaysia with a convincing 11-0 win over the United States on Monday.

Surbiton’s Zach Wallace was once again in the GB starting line-up which faced an American team regrouping after an opening day 19-0 loss to defending champions, Australia.

Yet with twenty minutes remaining, Great Britain only led 2-0, Cameron Golden and Duncan Scott both having scored in the first quarter.

Suddenly, Great Britain managed to unlock the American defence consistently, scoring four goals towards the end of the third quarter and five more in the final quarter.

Scott finished with a hat-trick, Golden notched a brace along with Benjamin Francis, with Callum Mackenzie, James Sutcliffe, former Surbiton player Edward Way and Alexander Blumfield adding to the USA’s misery.

Great Britain have a rest day on Tuesday before they face Australia in a key match on Wednesday. Australia beat Japan 4-0 in their second match, with hosts Malaysia due to face India in Monday’s final game.
