Great Britain’s Men drew 1-1 with Belgium in the first of their five match European Tour.

Former Surbiton player Will Calnan made his senior international debut and another former Surbiton player, Liam Ansell gave Team GB a 12th minute lead from open play.

Belgium levelled in the 23rd minute through Gus Meurmans, also through open play, although the goal has been officially credited to Antoine Kina.

Surbiton’s Alan Forsyth and Brendan Creed were both in the GB starting lineup with Harry Gibson replacing George Pinner in goal in the second quarter.

The second game against Belgium is at 3 pm local time on Saturday (2 pm BST).
